Childcare Provider Fund

Grants from the Childcare Provider Fund are available for the training and education of people who provide childcare in DeKalb County, Indiana. 

Grants are available to nonprofit organizations that provide training and education for childcare providers, to childcare centers and to individuals who provide home-based childcare. Grants are available to childcare providers of all types - nonprofit, for profit, center-based or home-based.

Before you submit a grant proposal please call the community foundation office at (260) 925-0311 to make sure that your idea for a proposal fits the goals of this fund. There are no set deadlines and grant proposals may be submitted at any time. We expect to make granting decisions within 30 days of the submission of a proposal.

Suggestions for grant proposals:
Bring a trainer to your childcare center
Attend or send childcare workers to a conference
Conference sponsorship
Membership(s) in state or national organizations that focus on the education of young children

Childcare centers and organizations that provide training and education may apply for a grant by completing the community foundation’s grant proposal form.  

Home-based childcare providers may apply for a grant by completing a one-page grant proposal form.
