Community Foundation DeKalb County Grant Opportunities
The gifts of many generous people allow the community foundation to award grants to nonprofit organizations for charitable projects and programs that address today's needs and prepare for tomorrow's challenges. The grants are focused on meeting the needs of the people in DeKalb County, Indiana.
Grants are awarded based on the charitable objectives of the donors who established the funds. Click on the name of each fund to learn more.
Several of the community foundation's funds make grants using our grant proposal form. Please check the guidelines for each fund (or call the office at (260) 925-0311) to determine whether to use this form.
Most grants require a written report within eight months after a grant is awarded on our grant reporting form. Please check the guidelines for each fund (or call the office at (260) 925-0311) to determine whether to use this form.
Grant Proposal Workshops
Before each community grantmaking cycle we offer a free, 60-minute workshop that will help you understand our grant process and learn basic proposal writing tips. The workshop is open to all but is especially helpful for new or inexperienced grant seekers. Attendance at a workshop is not required in order to receive a grant.
Two Grant Workshops have been scheduled for 2013:
- Tuesday, April 9 at 10:30 a.m.
- Tuesday, August 27 at 1:00 p.m.
Both will be held in the Close Community Room at the Eckhart Public Library, 603 S. Jackson Street, Auburn. Please RSVP to DWilson@DeKalbFoundation.org or call the community foundation office if you plan to attend.
